Switching between normal app mode and background-only mode.

Backuplist+ can now run as it always has, using the standard menu-bar menus (above) and appearing in the Dock when running, or as a background-only app that only appears as a menulet in the menu bar to the right (below.)

You can also select to run all backups entirely in the background (window will not appear) so you can work on other things without focus being removed by the backuplist+ window and progress bar. You can select this option in the Globals settings panel.

 

 

To switch application mode

  1. Select "Toggle background only" in the backuplist+ menu.
  2. Quit backuplist+
  3. Launch backuplist+
  4. backuplist+ will now appear as a menulet in the menu bar at the top right of your screen.
  5. You can toggle back to normal mode by following the same procedure in 1,2,3,above.
  6. Sometimes backuplist+ may have both menus on the first try. Just select "Toggle background only" again and it should "kick in."
